"Min View Duration" Setting

If the duration of your video is longer than 3 minutes, and you want to be guaranteed to receive views of at least a certain duration, then specify this value via the "Min view duration" setting. The number of points deducted for each received view will be displayed to the right of the input field.

About Audience Retention

In order to get a good audience retention, you need to strive to increase your video viewing time. If viewers watch a video to the end, then YouTube "thinks" that it is interesting to people, and thus increases its rating in search results.

Video Viewing Time in the Program

The duration of each time your video is shown by other KruTube instances to other members of the system depends on the following factors:

1. The minimum guaranteed display duration set on the server, which is currently 3 minutes. Each of your videos will be shown for at least this length. If another member stops viewing earlier than that (for example, closes the KruTube program), then that view will not be counted and the points for it will not be deducted from your balance.

2. The length of the total video queue on the server. When the rotation generation algorithm on our server "sees" that the total queue of videos for output has decreased, it will automatically increase the duration of showing long videos by the maximum possible value.
